This simple to use smart charger comes with many industry leading safety features and is compatible with all EV types. Please Read Before Installation
WARNING – When using electric products, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following. This manual contains important instructions for EnergizeEV Residential 32A and 40A Models that shall be followed during installation, operation, and maintenance of the unit.
- Read all instructions before using this product.
- This device should be supervised when used around children.
- Do not put fingers into the electric vehicle connector.
- Do not use this product if the flexible power cord or EV cable is frayed, has broken insulation, or any other signs of damage.
- Do not use this product if the enclosure of the EV connector is broken, cracked, RGB LED is missing, open, or shows any other signs of damage.
- Do not expose the unit to a direct sunlight, with temperatures exceeding -22 to 140 F (-30 to 60 Celsius).
- CAUTION – To reduce the risk of fire, connect only to a circuit provided with overcurrent protection and per applicable National Installation Codes in Annex A, Ref. 1.
- The lighting flash with arrowhead within a triangle is intended to indicate the parts inside the product has risk of shock.
- Not for use in commercial garages where a COMMERCIAL GARAGE is defined as a facility, or portion of a facility, used for the repair of internal combustion engine vehicles, in which the area may be classified due vapors of flammable liquids (gasoline) being present.
- All EnergizeEV chargers have GFI protection. We recommend installing a non-GFI breaker, in order to prevent false trips.
- The neutral wire is not used, but may need to be present in the receptacle. Follow applicable National Installation Codes in Annex A, Ref. 1.
- The unit should not be installed in areas with heavy water exposure, including but not limited to rain, snow and sprinklers. Ethernet cover should remain inserted when used outdoors.
- Hiring a certified electrician, who follows all local electrical codes is recommended. Wrongful installation can be dangerous. EnergizeEV takes no responsibility for wrongful electrical and hardware installation.
- Do not remove Activation Key label located near the Ethernet Port on the bottom of the charger.
